June sees our wonderful home city of Salisbury host National Armed Forces Day – and after a yearlong wait since Salisbury was announced as 2019’s Armed Forces Day host, we can’t wait for the weekend of 28th – 30th June to finally roll around.
To celebrate this momentous occasion for Salisbury and the arrival of our brave servicemen and women to the city we’re laying on a weeklong promotion at The Red Lion with our in-house hotel dining and afternoon tea offer.

Our Red Lion afternoon tea comes on a china cake stand and in quintessentially British style includes a selection of finger sandwiches, mini cakes, desserts, and scones served with jam, clotted cream and your choice of tea. Guests also have the option to upgrade to our ‘sparkling’ offer giving them a glass of Prosecco each.
Usually priced at £13.95 per person, this incredible treat selection will be discounted by 50% for the entire Armed Forces Day celebrations, starting from June 21st and running until June 30th – so if you haven’t booked in already, we highly recommend reserving a table before we fill up!

In addition to our Armed Forces Day afternoon tea offer, we’ll also be taking a fantastic 30% off the price of our lunch and dinner menus for the same period (June 21st – 30th). With our Vine Restaurant occupying one of the oldest parts of The Red Lion Hotel, dining with us offers a chance to step back in history and appreciate the period charm of early architectural Britain – including an original daub wall dating back to 1220. *Please note the restaurant will open subject to availability. In the event the Vine restaurant is not open, guests will have the opportunity to dine in our Victoria Lounge, 1220 bar or (weather permitting) outside in our vine covered courtyard.
We can’t think of a more fitting location to enjoy a meal after taking in the Armed Forces Day parade in Hudson’s Field.
