The Red Lion Hotel offers a choice of meeting rooms in Salisbury, able to accommodate meetings from 5 to 110 people. Our hotel has first class facilities and our meeting rooms all have the latest audio-visual equipment. Some of our meeting rooms even have their own private entrance and bar.
Our 13th century hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Salisbury city centre, just a 10 minute walk from the train station, making us one of the best venues to hire in Salisbury for anyone conducting business. We’re fully flexible, and with a choice of five meeting rooms of varying sizes and characteristics, we’re the ideal meeting venue in Salisbury.
Our meeting rooms are all located in quiet parts of the hotel, giving you the privacy needed to host your meeting or conference. Our meeting rooms can be hired for the day or for 24 hours with overnight accommodation for your attendees in one of our 60 feature hotel bedrooms.
There’s plenty of parking just a minute’s walk from the hotel (plus a small number of parking spaces on site). While our in-house chefs can cater to your every dietary need.
With your safety in mind, we’ve changed how we run meetings and events at The Red Lion Hotel. Our new procedures are under constant review and will always follow the latest government advice.
Whether it’s checking in and out or ordering refreshments, we have invested in making our services available digitally. Meeting rooms are cleaned and fully sanitised between each use and we are operating on a card payment only system in all areas of the hotel.
Our enhanced deep cleaning programme is carried out throughout the whole hotel, perspex screens have been installed where possible and all of our team follow a policy of no physical contact, maintaining social distancing wherever possible.
We have ensured that our new meeting room layouts meet government guidelines on social distancing to ensure you and your delegates remain safe. See our new meeting rooms capacities below.
All tables and chairs can be moved around too so you can always move even further apart if the space allows it.
We have installed hand sanitising stations in all public areas of the hotel and are ensuring all touch points are sanitised after each use. Guests are required to wear a face mask in all public areas of the hotel (excludes areas such as the restaurant, bar, and bedrooms).
Food and refreshments can be pre-ordered from our team for pre-arranged times throughout the day. We are also able to provide packed lunches individually and safely wrapped for each delegate if you prefer.

The Red Lion Hotel Salisbury’s largest function room is the Marlborough Room, which holds 110 people in theatre style seating and up to 80 for a banquet. It can be adjoined with our Wellington Suite through interconnecting doors and also features private access from the hotel courtyard.
Our Wellington Suite can be arranged in several configurations, with capacity for 40 people in theatre style, 25 in classroom style or 12 for cabaret. It’s one of our most flexible hotel meeting rooms. With adjoining doors connecting it to our Marlborough Room, this meeting room also has its own private bar and entrance.
Our Marlborough Room and Wellington Suite combined, the Courtyard Suite features interconnecting doors, with each individual meeting room benefitting from its own private entrance, cloakroom and bar. This option is generally reserved for larger corporate entertaining, such as company parties, large conferences and kick-offs.
Our Chelsea Suite can hold 40 delegates in theatre arrangement, 22 for boardroom or u-shaped seating and 16 for banqueting or classroom. Making it an ideal mid-sized meeting room. The Chelsea Suite features high ceilings and full height windows making it an exceptionally light and airy function room.
The smallest of our meeting rooms, the Churchill Suite can accommodate a maximum of 5 delegates in a boardroom style arrangement. Making it ideal an ideal meeting room for small team meetings, off-site interviews or as a private dining room. It benefits from ample natural daylight.
The Boardroom can accommodate up to 8 delegates in either boardroom style seating or in a banqueting capacity. Larger than our Churchill Suite, but still suited to smaller meetings of fewer than 10 participants. Its interiors are traditionally styled with oak panelled walls and beautiful furnishings.
Our day delegate package is ideal if you’re looking for meeting venues in Salisbury just for the day, while our 24 hour package also includes overnight accommodation for your delegates. Both packages offer the support of a dedicated Events Manager both pre-event and on the day itself.
Our delegate packages take care of all your food and drink needs while you’re hosting your meeting or corporate event with us so you can focus on what matters most – getting down to business.
Our day delegate package includes lunch for each of your guests as well as hot and cold refreshments throughout the day. With all food freshly prepared and served in a buffet style arrangement within your meeting room. All dietary requirements can of course be accommodated with prior notice.
