Our picturesque courtyard offers a quiet and peaceful outdoor dining option for those looking for alfresco dining in Salisbury on a warm summer’s day.

Our courtyard offers a secluded retreat to dine outdoors, beneath a beautiful natural canopy. You don’t need to book a table, you can just turn up and enjoy some delicious food or a drink or two in this stunning outdoor space.

We’re open for lunch daily from 12pm-3pm and for dinner Monday-Saturday from 5.30pm-9pm.

Outside dining under our ancient vine

Whether you’re looking for a shady spot to cool off, or a table directly in the sun, you’ll find it in our Red Lion Hotel courtyard. With our ancient Virginia creeper vine (one of the last remaining in the world) providing natural canopy. The courtyard offers dining in the most beautiful of settings.

The highlight of the year is in autumn when our vine’s foliage turns into a dazzling, deep red – a sight not to be missed!

Afternoon Tea in The Courtyard

We serve traditional afternoon tea year-round in our Victoria Lounge but in the warmer months we extend this to our courtyard too.

Enjoy a seasonal selection of fresh sandwiches, petit fours and scones. Washed down with English tea, or a glass of something sparkling.
