Salisbury summer holiday family races
On Thursday 15th August, Salisbury Racecourse is hosting a one-day family races event, with races scheduled throughout the afternoon from 1.50pm-4.55pm. Doors open from 12 noon, and entry is free for children under 17 years of age.
Alongside the action on the track, there’ll be free fairground rides, face painting and lots more for children to enjoy. Parking at the racecourse is also free, making for a great value family day out.
Picnic in the Park is returning to Victoria Park in Salisbury on Wednesday 28th August. The event is free to attend and shuttle buses will run from Salisbury city centre every 15 minutes.
You’re welcome to bring your own food and drink and enjoy the on-site entertainment, which includes a children’s disco, funfair rides and workshops. If you prefer to travel light, a selection of street food vendors will also be cooking up freshly prepared food on the day.
Of course, there are many more attractions to enjoy in Salisbury year-round, including the city’s famous Cathedral(home of the Magna Carta), stately homes and museums and, of course, Stonehenge, just outside the city centre.
