We’re not just a leisure location at the Red Lion. Our 13th century hotel has been at the heart of Salisbury for over eight centuries. And today our position makes us the perfect destination to conduct business in the city. In fact, our fully appointed meeting rooms offer flexible arrangements for up to 110 delegates. While our in-house chefs can cater to your every dietary need.

Churchill Suite

The smallest of our conference suites, The Churchill can accommodate a maximum 5 delegates in a boardroom style arrangement. Making it ideal for intimate meetings, off-site interviews, or as a private dining room. It benefits from ample natural daylight.

Boardroom

The boardroom can accommodate up to 8 delegates in either boardroom style seating, or in a banqueting capacity. Larger than our Churchill Suite, but still suited to smaller groups of less than 10 participants. Its interiors are traditionally styled with oak panelled walls and beautiful furnishings.

Wellington Suite

Our Wellington suite can be arranged in several configurations, with capacity for 40 people in theatre style, 25 in classroom style or 12 for cabaret. It’s one of our most flexible meeting rooms. With adjoining doors connecting it to our Marlborough Room, as well as having its own private bar and entrance.

Chelsea Suite

Our Chelsea Suite can hold 40 delegates in theatre arrangement, 22 for boardroom or u-shaped seating and 16 for banqueting or classroom. Making it an ideal mid-sized option. Located in a quiet part of the hotel Chelsea features high ceilings and full height windows making it exceptionally light and airy.

Marlborough Room

The largest of our meeting suites The Marlborough holds 110 people in theatre style seating and up to 80 for a banquet. It can be adjoined with our Wellington suite through interconnecting doors and also features private access from the hotel courtyard.

Courtyard Suite

Our Marlborough Room and Wellington Suite combined, the Courtyard Suite features interconnecting doors, with each individual room benefitting from its own private entrance, cloakroom, and bar. This option is generally reserved for larger corporate entertaining, such as company parties and kick-offs.

Meeting Room Specifications


Each of our meeting rooms is available for private hire on a full day or half-day basis and comes with the use of free hotel Wi-Fi included. As well as the support of a dedicated Events Manager both pre-event and on the day itself. We also have an extensive in-house supply of technical equipment available.

Conference Packages


Our delegate packages take care of all your food and drink needs while you’re hosting your meeting with us. So you can focus on what matters most: getting down to business. We have two types of package, our day delegate and our 24hr delegate.

Day delegate

Our day delegate packages include lunch for each of your guests as well as hot and cold refreshments throughout the day. With all food freshly prepared and served in a buffet style arrangement within your meeting room. Dietary requirements can of course be accommodated with prior notice.

Includes:

  • Conference room hire
  • Paper, pens, glasses, wrapped sweets and iced water for all delegates
  • Unlimited tea, coffee and biscuits
  • Fruit bowl
  • Lunch*
  • Conference coordinator – your personal contact during your event
  • Wi-Fi and secure broadband
  • Use of LCD projector, PA system, Screen, Flipcharts

 

*Our working lunches include a delicious selection of finger sandwiches on artisan breads, individually portioned salads, selection of hot items (meat and vegetarian options), miniature desserts, fruit assortment.

24 hour delegate

For delegates staying on site at The Red Lion our 24hr delegate package includes everything in our day package, with the addition of a 3-course evening meal in our Vine Restaurant. As well as overnight accommodation in a classic twin or double room. We’ll even treat you to a hearty cooked breakfast the morning of your departure.

Includes:

  • En-suite bedroom with in-room writing desk
  • Three course dinner
