With March already upon us (honestly, where did February go?) it’s only a few weeks until one of the most important of annual events in the diary – Mother’s Day! Soon to be followed by the long awaited Easter weekend.
To celebrate both occasions, our chefs have designed two special menus, making use of the lovely springtime ingredients that come into season this time of year. So without further adieu here’s a little look ahead to what tasty delights await you if you book in to eat with us over Easter and Mother’s Day 2019.
Mother’s Day (Sunday March 31st 2019)
We know how difficult it can sometimes be choosing from a menu where more than one dish appeals so, to avoid any food envy, for Mother’s Day we’re hosting a one-off buffet menu, so mums and their doting families can have a little bit (or a lot) of everything they fancy.
Served between 12:00 – 15:00 on Sunday March 31st our Mother’s Day menu, will be giving lucky diners a chance to sample a whole host of delicious foods cooked up by our resident Salisbury hotel chefs.
Starting at just £12.95 for children (under 3s eat for free) and £24.95 per person for the adults, our Mother’s Day buffet menu offers a wide choice of starters, mains and a selection of scrummy deserts for diners to tuck into to their heart’s delights. Offering exceptional value for money, and ensuring that mum gets the special meal out on Mother’s Day she deserves.
Highlights of the menu include a seafood platter featuring crevettes, langoustines, mussels, shrimps and mackerel to start, roast strip loin of beef as a main, and everything from sticky toffee pudding and opera cake to chocolate brownie and lemon posset to round things off – all for an incredible fixed price that allows you to pile up your plate as high as you like.
Now, if that’s not a Mother’s Day treat to remember, we don’t know what is, but we’ll also be offering our Red Lion afternoon tea from 12-3pm that day too, so the choice of how to spoil mum is entirely yours.
Easter Sunday dining menu, (Sunday 21st April 2019)
Why not leave the washing up to us on Easter Sunday and join us for a three-course meal- for the same price of £24.95 for adults and £12,95 for kids over three years of age.
Every course comes with a variety of options to choose from that caters for meat eaters, pescatarians and vegetarians alike, so there’s something for everyone in your Easter party to savour. Our personal favourites include the main of pan fried cod loin accompanied by a sweat potato and coconut puree, as well as the mouthwatering honey and rosemary roasted lamb served with Chateau potatoes.
Spaces are limited for both events, and reservations are required to guarantee availability, so we recommend booking in early to avoid disappointment.
